Taranaki Champs Change of Dates

The Taranaki Individual Time Trial and Road Race dates have changed.

Time Trial is now on Sunday 3rd April, 1pm at Tikorangi.

Road Race is now on Saturday 26th March, 1.30pm at Lepperton.

Huiroa Block - Taranaki Inter Club Race

Stratford Cycling Club held the second Taranaki Inter club race around the 52km Huiroa Block, 60 rider competing for the 02 Project sponsored Ken Walker Shield the front riders of Peter Cox and Bob Marsh were caught 800 meter from the finish by a large bunch which contested the sprint finish.

Richard Peters winning in a tight sprint from Steve Smith and Dubais Malcolm Smith third, fastest time of 1 hour 12min and 23 sec went to Nick Sutton from Brent Tivers and Mel Titter the $500 prize money was donated by the riders to the Christchurch Earthquake Fund.

Stratford Cycling Club Opening Day - Sunday 23rd Jan

Sunday 23rd Jan, 10am at Club Rooms, Broadway South Stratford.

Registrations, 45km or 60km bunch ride or a 15km TT for new riders, Food and Drink after rides, also over view of 2011 season, Sermon from President : Topic Stratford Cyclist's place in the Universe.Members Past, Present or Future, or anyone who wants a ride welcome.

Notice: Sunday 21st Event Changed

Due to Gordy being unavailable we have changed Sundays event to a bunch ride at 10am from the club rooms around a new block that we may use next year it is 75km and a good warm up for those doing Taupo, out to Te Wera left over the new sealed road to Kiore down the valley to Huiroa in to Douglas back to Straty for a cup off tea and eats at club rooms after.
